Our identity is our view of ourselves, who we are and what makes us who we are. Our self-esteem is our feeling of self-worth. These two things are closely linked to our emotional and spiritual well-being, which are important to promote in the individual.
Our spiritual well-being is the meaning and purpose we find in our life while our emotional well-being is how we feel about ourselves. These are parts of our identity, and if we lack them, it can negatively affect our self-esteem.
As such, it is vital that you do your best to promote the well-being of any individuals you care for. If their emotional and spiritual well-being is hurt, they could lose their sense of identity and have low self-esteem.
