5.7a Demonstrate that their actions promote person centred values including: individuality, independence, privacy, partnership, choice, dignity, respect, rights

All of the person-centred values we have gone over work together rather than standing alone. For example, independence is closely associated with individuality and choice, choice is closely linked to dignity and respect, and so on. To recap, here are the person-centred values we have covered:

  • Individuality
  • Independence
  • Choice
  • Privacy
  • Partnership
  • Dignity
  • Respect
  • Rights

These values exist to give individuals the power to speak up and take as much control as possible over their care in order to live a fulfilled life. No matter what happens, you should do your best to respect, uphold and promote these values in pursuit of higher quality care.
