In the previous section, we looked at some of the dilemmas that may occur between your duty of care and an individual’s rights.
Very often, you will need to seek additional support and guidance about how to manage such dilemmas.
The first, and usually best, option is your manager who will have the experience to understand how best to handle the situation. Senior colleagues may also be of assistance.
You may also obtain additional support from other professionals, such as an individual’s social worker, GP or occupational therapist.
