Identifying the causes of stress can help to put things into perspective and assist with planning how to overcome it.

Circumstances and factors that can trigger stress include:

  • Problematic relationships
  • Lack of support from manager
  • Working too many hours
  • Worries about money
  • Worries about your health
  • Worries about a loved one’s health
  • Bereavement
  • Major life changes (e.g. becoming a parent, moving house etc.)
