Stress can be managed in several ways, once you have identified the symptoms and causes.

Strategies for stress management can include:

  • Having a positive outlook
  • Physical and mental activity
  • Speaking to your manager about the issues you are experiencing
  • Talking with friends and family
  • Taking time out for yourself
  • Joining local groups and participating in local activities
  • Socialising with friends
  • Using planning, time management and organisation systems
  • Requesting time off or a reduced workload
  • Medical advice and counselling
  • Eating and sleeping properly
