In most cases, you should seek guidance from your manager and familiarise yourself with your organisation’s agreed ways of working. If the individual has a representative, such as a family member or independent advocate, you may wish to discuss the issue with them.
You may also contact external organisations, such as charities, trade unions, local support groups, the local authority or government agencies (e.g. the Care Quality Commission, the Health and Safety Executive etc.)
