As a care worker, you must be able to work effectively with others including your co-workers, managers, the individuals that you care for (and their family) and other professionals.

Establishing and maintaining good working relationships will require skills such as:

  • Effective communication
  • Honesty
  • Trust
  • Respect

You should be able to give and receive feedback and work in partnership with others to achieve shared goals. Honesty and transparency are integral to creating trust and respect.
