There are many ways in which parents and carers can be supported. One way is through respite care, which gives them a break from their caring responsibilities. This can be arranged through social services or voluntary organisations. Other ways of supporting parents and carers include:
- Home help services
- Counselling and support groups
- Parenting courses
- Financial support
Parents and carers can also be supported by having access to information and advice about their rights, entitlements and options. This might be offered through helplines, websites or face-to-face advice services.
