This unit is part of the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator and has the following learning outcomes and assessment criteria:
- Understand theoretical perspectives which support play
- Understand philosophical approaches which influence play provision
- Be able to apply theoretical knowledge in own practice
- Create a plan using theoretical perspectives on play to support the developmental stage, needs and interests of children aged: 0-1 year 11 months, 2-2 years 11 months, 3-5 years
- Use theoretical perspectives on play which support the developmental stage, needs and interests of children aged: 0-1 year 11 months, 2-2 years 11 months, 3-5 years
- Be able to apply philosophical approaches in own practice
- Create a plan using philosophical approaches to play which support the developmental stage, needs and interests of children aged: 0-1 year 11 months, 2-2 years 11 months, 3-5 years
- Use philosophical approaches to play to support the developmental stage, needs and interests of children aged: 0-1 year 11 months, 2-2 years 11 months, 3-5 years
- Be able to review how theoretical perspectives and philosophical approaches to play contribute to own practice
