Learning activities usually refer to formal training such as training sessions or classroom teaching, however it can also include informal learning activities such as conducting your own research.

It is important to recognise how these activities contribute towards your own personal development by improving your knowledge, skills and understanding.

For example, if you were to participate on a first aid course you would probably gain knowledge about what you should do in an emergency situation, practical lifesaving skills such as CPR and abdominal thrusts as well as an understanding of why the things that you have learned are recommended practices.
