4.3a Identify a range of sources of information, advice and support about diversity, equality and inclusion

There are several sources of support you can go to for information and advice about diversity, equality and inclusion. For example, your manager can offer additional guidance should you need it and can advise you on who else to speak to for further information.

You could also look into the ways of working at your organisation and check out the Care Quality Commission’s Essential Standards of quality and safety. They set out some of the guidelines you should follow when dealing with situations related to equality, diversity and discrimination.

Informal meetings or discussions with colleagues is also another great source of support and information. Or you could do some research yourself on the Internet, looking at websites like the Equality and Human Rights Commission or the NHS Website. Don’t be afraid to ask for support if you need it; sometimes you may require it to provide the best care possible.
