As well as utilising attitudes and approaches that promote well-being, it is also important to ensure that environment promotes well-being as well.
This could include:
- maintaining a clean and tidy setting
- ensuring noise levels are normal
- maintaining correct temperature
- ensuring individuals can have privacy whenever they wish
- having a positive workplace culture
- encouraging individuals to personalise their rooms
- ensuring staff are trained in person-centred values
- ensuring individual’s needs are catered for (e.g. their dietary requirements, their activity preferences etc.)
