Standard 9 of the Care Certificate explores the challenges faced by individuals diagnosed with conditions in the broad categories of mental health, dementia and learning disabilities. It also looks at how to support and promote the wellbeing of these individuals, typical adjustments that may need to made to accommodate them, the importance of early detection, legal frameworks and mental capacity.
